Katie Harrington launches PR & Communications site
Wilde Words, a Dublin-based start-up PR consultancy, today launched its new site, focusing on public relations and corporate communications. The site will provide free advice to organisations looking to produce better content, increase their share of voice, learn how to manage communications in a crisis and improve their relationship with the media.
Founder and Managing Editor, Katie Harrington, said: “We’re thrilled to launch today, and we’ll be using the site to keep organisations in Ireland and beyond informed on best practices within the industry. Change is the only constant in the PR industry, and we aim to help Corporate Communications and Marketing departments keep up with news and trends.”
The site will focus strongly on core public relations skills including managing media relationships, communicating during a crisis, corporate writing, strategic social media and more. It will feature original content written by the Wilde Words team, as well as videos, infographics and resources from around the web.
Katie Harrington said: “In an age where consumers are overwhelmed with content on a daily basis across various devices and platforms, it’s more important than ever to approach public relations strategically. Our new site provides food for thought, advice and insight for forward-thinking organisations that know public relations can’t be done on an ad hoc basis, or as an afterthought.”
Prior to launching Wilde Words as a PR Consultancy, Katie Harrington held more than 10 years’ international experience in journalism, media relations, PR, and corporate communications. Her former clients and employers include Emirates Airline and Group, dnata, Nakilat and the Oireachtas (Irish Houses of Parliament).
